I live in the UK and would like to start growing fruit and vegetables in my back garden. The garden is a good size and I have plenty of space. Has anyone got any advice on where is best to start and also do I need to have a green house, or is there any way to do it without one.

Thanks!

My mother who lives in Bournemouth on her own, is thinking about getting a water meter. She lives in a fairly small house, one bedroom and doesnt use much water, just the usual i.e. one bath a day, waters plants in a fairly small garden etc. Would it be worthwhile her getting a water meter to save money?

I'm growing tomato's and they are doing great, but they are only 11" and they are starting to flower, so I have been picking off the flowers so the plant concentrates on growing. I don't know if the plants are determinate or inditerminate, how long can I pick off the buds, I've done it about 3 times already. When I pick off the buds, they aren't flowers, I don't let the plant flower at all. Thanks for the help! I should also mention these are potted plants, in 12" pots, so I know they won't get too big, but what is expected hight? I've fertalized accordingly. NPK is fine

Hi guys, thanks for your answers to my last question about my shower, these really helped and it could just be a wattage problem. I'd just like to point out that my shower head is not blocked, the pressure at the sink beside the shower is really good, and that the shower pressure has steadily being getting worse over the years. Just thought i'd point these out too, in case it made a difference. Could it be the unit is blocked? Ive heard this is a likely reason too. thanks
