If the soil is dry and not frozen yet you can plant almost anything even in the cold climate, annuals excepted, in warmer climates please check in your local garden centres what is appropriate for growing in your area, since you do not give the info where you live. Good luck.

Shrubs, roses, vegetables what type of thing are you looking for. If it's as wet where you are as it is here, definitely not bulbs and small plants as they will rot.
