LOL! Timely. we are tiling our bathroom as I write this. No it is not a hard job, just really messy. Pop the old ones off and scrape down the wall so that it is easily retiled. Get the things you will need, the cement and tiles. Don't bother with the tiling tools hands work so much better. Make sure you have the right size spacers and have your blueprint ready to work.
Glop the cement on your tile evenly and press to the wall. Viola! Done!

I've found a claw hammer is the best tool for removing tiles. Use goggles to protect your eyes though!! Place the claw end against the wall and slide it sharply down onto the tiles. If you are lucky it will pop them off easily - If you are not, you may need a wide flat bolster or electricians chisel. Do it carefully to avoid damaging the wall. Its a messy job.

Tiling is as easy as breathing almost
as long as you do it slow take good measurements
and don't overload each tile with tile adhesive
I just redid my bathroom.
Some tiles are self adhesive and there even easier.
If ceramic the only tricky thing is cutting the tiles
corners are hideous so do 2 straight pieces it looks better
than a bodged corner and straight pieces are easy to cut

Depends how much your tiles cost.
Depends on what surface your re-tiling, if you have to remove tiles from plaster, be careful not to pull the plaster off too, or you will have to do some plastering too.
It could cost anything from £50 to £200 depending on the quality of tile.

I would remove the tiles myself, if you dont need them anymore just hammer and chisel them off and then get some local tilers who do free estimates to give you an idea on a price of re-tiling.

if the old tiles are still fixed well to the wall there is no reason to remove them you can just tile over them.the new tiles will bond very well to the old tiles. you just need to get any old soap residue off the old tiles first. i would do the job for about £100.
