I'm a 24/f I recently moved and while packing i realized just how unorganized i really am, i was wondering if anybody has any organization tips for any part of the house, kitchen, bedroom, bath, etc. Its just me and my husband but we have a good amount of belongings, i have many clothes, purses and shoes, not a ton of closet space so i bought a couple of those plastic closets, we moved into an adorable 2 bedroom duplex, so we do have a spare bedroom, any advice would be greatly appreciated

I am doing window treatment for my new house and wondering if I should stay a consistent color from looking from the outside (both the front and the back). I mean I planning to use different blind color for the living room (front of the house) versus white for all windows upstair that also have windows facing the front. The same for the back of my house, would it be OK if all other windows are white and the masterbedroom is a different color. Thanks.

Daylight style light bulb have a color of 6500K. They are different, brighter, and I think I like them. However, sometimes I think they may make me almost feel dizzy and give me a headache, and I can't tell if I really like them or if I like the idea of liking them. You can really tell a difference between traditional wave length bulbs and these. The ones I used were GE daylight 75 (cool daylight color), though I think Sylvania and Philips make something similar. Thanks in advance for any replys. We are trying to decide whether to replace others in our house with these or take these back to the store.

When we stand in the bathroom doing our hair, hairspray has accumulated on the door behind us. I have tried a lot of cleaners to get it off, but it's a struggle. Any suggestions?

I received a lush, bud laden gardenia plant for Christmas. I have it on a table in front of my sliding glass door. It dropped a few leaves initially, but has stopped that. The buds are turnign brown at the base & falling off. I thought maybe I was watering it too much, so slowed down. Then the leaves looked limp, so I watered it and it looked better. Is there anyway I can keep this plant alive? It is in the plastic nursery pot--should I repot it? I live in the Chicago area, so it can't go outside. What do you think?

My husband and I live in a 1465 sq. ft. house with our two kids, and my mom is constantly insulting the size of our house. We are doing the best that we can and we both work very hard. This is the biggest house that we can afford right now and everytime my mom comes over she insults how small the bathrooms are, she insults our furniture, she demands that we redecorate according to what she likes, etc... I don't even want her to come over anymore because I can't stand her comments. Suggestions????

We moved in to our lovely warm 1400 sf house in October. We hadn't spent one winter in it. I live in Canada where the winters can get cold on some days. ie-today is -30 celcius.

Our house is a storey and a half. On the top floor, there are 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. There is a heating vent on the outside wall of this bathroom that we are wondering might be causing a huge issue with ice damming on that same side of the house. Ice damming is ice built up on the edge of the roof about 7 inches deep as well as a great deal of icycles.

Last night it was extrememly cold and we kept hearing clunking sounds on our roof. Mostly this was heard on the side of the house where the ice damming is. very scary. They happenned about once every hour or two. It sounded like the house was falling apart. What could this be and what can we do to fix the ice damming temporarily and also permanently? Thanks

AC tech guy broked the evaporator coil in the furnace and leaked a significant amount of freon gas in the attic. i opened the door to the attic and opened all the windows in the house to ventilate out for about two hours.

1. Is it good enough?

2. The tech guy did not think this is a serious matter. He went to the attic and finished his job and said this does not produce any problem. This is the opposite of what i am hearing.

3. How should I remove freon gas from the attic?

My pines are yellow, but not dead. Being that it is winter, I was wondering if I gave them coffee (because of the acid content) if it will give them a boost before feeding in the spring?
