I am doing window treatment for my new house and wondering if I should stay a consistent color from looking from the outside (both the front and the back). I mean I planning to use different blind color for the living room (front of the house) versus white for all windows upstair that also have windows facing the front. The same for the back of my house, would it be OK if all other windows are white and the masterbedroom is a different color. Thanks.

Of course. It's your house. Do with it as you please.

Only you will know what you want your windows to look like. White goes with anything. Window curtains, though, tell everyone what room is what. and How many rooms there are in a house. If you want every room to be different colors, designs, and/or shapes it is all up to you. When a person is looking at a house from the outside their not looking at the curtains. If that is what you do then you are not noticing uniqueness and quality of the house, you are judging the person who lives in the house.

Your home should reflect your personal tastes, so when it comes to color, you should decide on something that suits you. Many window treatments, however, offer a "neutral exterior appearance" which means that no matter what color you pick for the shade itself, the back of it is white. You may also see this as described as "white to the street".

When you pick these types of shades, you get the benefit of picking a color as bold as you want to spruce up your room, while not having to worry about what it looks like on the outside. If you visit www.blindcrafter.com, you'll find a variety of shades. Most products will feature a neutral appearance to the outside, so then you're free to make each room as bold and as unique as you like!
