Would it cost more to repair or replace it? The wates isn't leaking from the hoses, it's coming from the motor/pump. Kenmore washing machine.

I have already checked the clamps on the the hoses and the warrenty went out about two months ago. It's basically a brand new washing machine. The only thing heavy that goes into my washing machine are my husband ACU's (uniforms). Is it something I did wrong?

Try calling Sears service department to see if they will repair it for free. If no luck with them call a company that works on Whirlpool(the maker of your machine) to come and replace the pump. It is not a difficult repair and the pump is not that expensive.

take in the garage or yard etc (which ever it is you have, turn it on it's side(put down some cardboard large enough to keep from scratching it) look at the area above the motor, there is 2 hose clamps really large ones, that hold the tub seal. make sure the seal is in the right place and that the clamps are tight. if you see and build up it is where it is leaking. also look that the seal is not cracked. the clamps would be my first guess due to the age of the machine(QA at factories is nothing like it used to be, pedro)

it sounds like a seal on the pump shaft went bad. that is unusual for so new of a machine. call a service company or sears repair dept. and ask for a quote to replace the pump, parts and labor. i wouldn't wait to get them to do it for free as it will take time to get anywhere with that. you can collect all of the paperwork and the old part and try to present your case to them later. then at least you'll have a working washer. you will probably get the 'you should have bought the extended protection plan' line. i have found that the best response to that is 'a dissatisfied customer tells more people than a happy one, how many customers would you like to lose?' good luck, and sorry you had a lemon.

Sears is pretty good about warranties. I would call them to see if they will fix it free. If not, I would ask to speak to a manager and tell them, you won't buy from sears. It might be cheaper, to repair it, but sometimes the repair doesn't work, or they make a service call and tell you it can't be fixed, and still charge you. The repaired item will be warrantied for 90 days, a new unit will be warrantied for one year.

Call Sears and give them your model number, they will be able to tell you how much a new pump costs. Then its up to you to weigh wether its worth it to fix or buy new. Consider the age of the machine, the cost of the new pump, the cost of labor to put it in, etc. You can purchase a pretty nice washing machine for around $300.00

Call Sears and ask them.

Depending on the age, it's like painting a rusted car. It looks good but its still an old rusted car and you will need to buy another and the paint job was wasted money for the little time you got out of it.
