You can call the Vietnam Veterans of America or VVA.org. I have dealt with them a few times and they accept just about any kind of donation, and they pick the items up from your home within a week from your call. If you can't be home for the pick-up you can leave things in front of your home.

Put them by the trash place, someone will pick them up. I had the same dilemma when I moved cross country. And someone suggested just putting them by the garbage truck pick up spot (I lived in an apartment complex). To my amazement, they were gone literally 30 minutes after I set them out.

Call a local non profit agency such as goodwill or Salvation Army. They will come out and pick it up and you will get a tax write off for the old stuff.

You can have a garage sale or lawn sale for all the things that you do not want. That way you can give it away and make money.

Put an ad on Craigslist saying that they are free to whoever wants to come and take them off your hands.
