Hi, i just moved back inside from my garage and want to decorate my bedroom to suite me more.
Its biggish, like two rooms joined together, narrow and long. The carpet is a darkish green, the walls a dark salmon - pink and the roof white. Then one curtain is red and gold.

We rent so i can't change the wall colour, carpet or curtain. We can't use anything but blu-tack on the walls.
I have a queensize bed, tv, warchobe, coffee table, trunk, all wood - pine coloured. I need some ideas on how to decorate my room to look good and be more nice and teenagey.
Cheaply.
I'm almost 17, and do not want a shabby room, but kind of cool.
Any advice would be great.
Thanks

Try putting in little accessories like if you are a girly girl try putting a pink lamp in or get beaded curtains in your fave color or get a different bedspread to match your style and put throw pillows on your bed in fun colors and shapes. Little things like that will do. If you can, paint your walls in any color you like.

P.S. You can even check out teen redo your room magazines to give you more ideas.

to start you could place the head of your bed against one of the short walls and put the trunk @ the foot. This would "shorten the room somewhat. Get a comforter with matching shams {maybe light green}add pillows of dark green, pink and white..one new curtain should not cost much. sorry thats all I can think of now.. have fun and good luck with your room.

decopage your wooden furniture...i'm 33 and still have mine!! just cut out cool pictures from postcards and magazines then put clear lacqer over the top. remember, you want your room to reflect...you. are you arty? buy some blank canvases and do some painting. you can achieve some great ideas through some simple designs.... choose 2 bright colours, paint half the canvas using obvious brush-strokes, then flick paint on the other side, creating "dots". i also used to buy a cheap picture with a glass front and fill it with a collage of my own photos. try hanging a wire sculpture from the ceiling and hanging chunky necklaces on it!!
good luck!!

i'm shocked that an excellent sort of folk have pronounced colorations devoid of psychological help for them. of course, mild colorations make rooms look greater, yet that's probable no longer what you opt to decide for. the factor with having a yellow or orange room is that collectively as that's helpfully energetic, overstimulation can bring about paranoia. a similar with blue being calm, purely overstimulation could reason relatively depressed moods. besides... that ought to no longer be my component! i think of that's as much as the teen how they choose it, yet i might positioned my foot down if i replaced into made to purchase furnishings (excl. mattress in keeping with threat) that i understand he does no longer handle to adulthood. probable because of the fact that's a waste of money relatively. comprehensible for infants, no longer plenty for youths. My brother is 17, and his room replaced into mild blue with army bedsheets. a blue and beechwood cloth wardrobe and table for his pc (significant to youngsters at present. ;D) and sufficient area for storing for his PS2 stuff, college stuff, and the different crap he has. I liked the belief of the chrome and glass stuff. Very present day yet suitable for adults too. i think of finally, youngsters opt to sense like adults. (that's why I hated the activities or wallpaper prints thought.) good success in looking your answer, and adorning the room! :)
