Yes it can, prep the surface well 1st. by sanding the entire piece of furniture. Use only a oil based paints, latex based materials should not be used on top of a lacquer, oil and water don't mix! Check out www.ekbdc.com great site for information! Good Luck!

Yes it can be painted but you should sand it down so that the lacquer is roughened up otherwise the paint won't stick to it. Otherwise remove all the lacquer and green paint with stripper and start fresh- it is alot of work but sometimes you would be surprised what is under that paint! The cheapest hint I can give you is to buy some Contact Brand paper (it comes in tons of colors and patterns) and put that over the current finish! Good Luck!

Yes, but you will have to sand it pretty well first or the new paint won't adhere very well. You should probably also stick with lacquer paint. Good luck!

All you do is lightly sand, prime and paint it.
