What type of sofa is this?

You typical sofa has legs and is up in the air, the sofa I'm looking for is built to rest on the ground with less then a foot or so between the bottom of the couch and where the top cushion ends.

Is there a name for this type of sofa?

Hmm...I've always called them couches, myself. I don't think there is a difference, since the legs are usually merely ornamental if they're meant to be seen.
