The manual states that I need to change this every six months. My question - is this true? Can I just wash it under some water?

Also, if I have to buy the hepa filter (called Hepa filter cartridge style hf2, part no. 61111) do you know of any cheap places to get it (I can order it from Eureka for 20 bucks. Also, have you found any other replacements (not necessarily the hf2) that fit and work fine? Thanks a lot.

My husband works for directv and when it rains he comes home soaked. There has to be something out there that will keep him dry. Does anyone else work outside, what products do you use to stay dry?

I know it was stupid, but I punctured a hole in my freezer [part of a fridge freezer] when cleaning it. I know that the hissing was a release of gas, and have opened the windows, I also know I have to buy a new one. Saying that, the new one doesn't arrive until Tuesday.

I have opened windows, removed the food and turned the fridge freezer off. But the flat is tiny and I am worried that I will become ill from it being in such a small space as it really smells. I am on the top floor so there's no way of me removing it alone.

What I want to know is: If its ok for it to be in the flat until Tuesday?

Just need some advice to how potent the gas is, if I will get ill from it being in the same space as me for three days?

Also, if I could maybe keep the fridge freezer on, so I can at least keep the fridge in use, or is this not a good idea?

And will all food [which I did put back int he freezer for an hour, its now removed], even sealed frozen food be contaminated?

. Ta very

Over the summer I say in one of those coupon book ads that are in newspapers a thing about indoor strawbery plants, you could buy the plants hang them in your house and have strawberries yearround, I was going to buy them, but life got hectic and I forgot untill now, and I can't find them anywhere. If you know what I am talking about and how to get them could you let me know.

from Santa's sleigh hump last night. They significatly scraped things up on the deer , and my 2.5 year old found it this morning. I only found 3 of the 4 stakes in the yard (they are white and we have snow). They also put the light up santa into the sleigh that is too small for him. Any suggestions on how to prevent this in the future as I don't want to have to try to fix things every night and definately don't want my daughter exposed to this. Thanks.

There is a three inch crack in the bathtub. I'm thinking I have to replace the tub to solve the problem. The reason is that the lack of support underneath the tub is the cause of the problem. I know of no other way to get at the underside of the tub but to remove it.

House is 100yrs old; not original roof, but old tin in decent shape. I pulled loose nails [replaced w/washeredscrews], flashed chimneys, patched holes, and recoated with Black Jack fibered aluminum roof coating over 15 yrs ago; It's time to re-do! Since it did a good job last time, I've looked for same, but cannot find the same product/BlackJack 5167. Our local Lowe's has "Silver Dollar" fibered aluminum roof coating, but how do I know if it's good enuf? [$42/5gal]. Plus, the roof is leaking!!! and when I get up there canNoT find anything that looks suspiciously like the culprit. Have been in the attic, tho not while it's raining...[the only true test time]; still, all indications are that the leak comes from the ridge cap or close to it. But up on the roof, it looks solid in this area. Any suggestions? If you know of a site that rates or reviews roof coatings [other than selling them], I would appreciate being apprised of same. Again, what's the best fibered aluminum coating?
