Measure. Measure. Measure.

Tiling takes a lot of measuring and planning.

You want to make sure that you have to make the least amount of cuts as possible to your tiles to avoid waste. I would start at the bottom and dry-fit the tiles over and over again until you find the most efficient usage of your tiles.

Good luck!

You don't say if you are going from floor to ceiling, or just part way up ,as in a wainscoat style. first measure and mark the center line of your row. this will give you your starting point. Back off that by 1/2 your grout width, mark, and place your 1st tile there. work out to the ends of your wall from there.
