Yeah, you need a bomb. A can you set off and leave the h ouse, or an exterminator. "Bengal" is a great brand, if you have it in your area. Cover food, set the fogger thing off, and when you come back, you'll probably throw up at how many dead roaches you have! But they are DEAD, not breeding, so that's a good thing!

For long-term use, find some Harris Roach Tablets... little yellow box found at hardware stores. They are boric acid, and you can remove your outlet covers and switch plates and drop one in the wall, and another in the electrical box itself. Do that all over the house.

I found the roaches in my old apartment came from the kitchen sink. I would plug the sink up when I did not use it. Also using a bomb once a month is good. Do get rid of any cardboard and cardboard boxes. I would suggest moving but they are really everywhere. Even living in nuclear plants.

The very best way is to use a bait. The roaches take the poison from the bait back to their nests, and this helps kill other roaches. Boric acid works very well, provided you don't apply too much. A light dusting will do, or puff some under the fridge, stove & sink.

Ive tried everything. And the only thing that got rid of them was freezing them out. They cannot survive with out some source of heat. Our lights went out during a blizzard. That was the only way my home got heat. So me and my family left our home for a few days. Until the the power was back on. And when we returned home no more roaches. They were all dead. Yea!!!

The very best way is to use bug bombs, call in the exterminator and have it done professionally. After that you need to keep your place real clean and also hope your neighbors do the same. In an apartment it does not help if you have a slob living along side you.

a product called ROACH PROOF. It is a powder and you put it in jar lids. Put the lids under the frig and on top of the cabinets and places that kids and pets cant get to. It works for months and really. IT WORKS GREAT!!!

Roaches hate borax-o powdered laundry soap and it is cheap at the store.scatter it in every corner of cabnets /walls /closets and bathroom. Remove as many Cardboard boxes as possible from your living area and Borax the ones remaining.the borax will not hurt clothing /pets/or painted surfaces. I have never heard of it hurting humans, use common sence with it. Roaches will leave or die in a few days.
At night, sit a plate of Borax and dry milk powder on the counter where they like to race, add only four/five drops of water to center of plate.(They will slide out of control and crash into the wall.) that was a joke!! They like moisture and the glue in wall paper, so look for rips/holes in wall and dose it with powder. put extra around the pipes that lead into your house. Add borax-o to laundry for a boost in cleaning as well as into mop water, and the wipe rag for counter tops. do not forget the underside for Refridge and stove and around the back of them as well as a dishwasher trash compactor or any other appliance you are lucky enough to have. My Aunt even used a white wash of borax and latex paint to make a circle of overhead lighting and cabnet moldings When she lived in the BAY area = SF. low rent district.
Out side around doors ect. clean up and dry up any collections of debris,
They like VCRs to hide in and radios/Tvs .
They love toasters/bake ovens/ waffel makers.
don't be afride to place a straw full of borax in the case away from mechanical workings. I don't use Roachpruf or manufactured insecticides, and I never have roaches overnight they go away or die.

Boric acid, it is very effective when used properly for killing cockroaches and most other insects. You can also get a house lizard, they are natural enemies and will eat them. More information at http://tinyurl.com/ofxkk

It is almost impossible. For every one you see, there are zillions more behind the woodwork, or other places.
