Yes it can be repaired, probably will not be as good as new, there is a company called bath fitters, is you have them they put a " shell " in the tub and that will be just like a new one. Other than that if you do replace it try and get a vitral com-posit. It stay shinny and does not crack and break. If you have any more question on this feel free to ask.

Fiberglass can be repaired. If you have a crawl space, get under the tub, CAREFULLY drill a couple of holes thru the floor and shoot some of that expanding foam into the void. This will give you some support without having to remove the tub. If you are on a slab, you might be able to get access thru the side or thru the plumbing access opening. Good luck and careful with the foam..it is hard to remove if you get it on the outside of the tub and if you over-do it, you might make a big mess.

Fiberglass showers and tubs are repairable but if you don't have the correct support underneath, you'll have to tear it out anyway.
Usually there is a small mound of concrete dumped under a tub/shower stall for permanent support.
You'll have to remove the tub, add support, and replace the tub.

cut a hole in the side wall next to the tub and push plaster paris under in you must move quickly because it sets up very fast . dont worrie about a small mess it cleans up easily just push as much as you can under the tub . if the wood under the tub is week you may have to pull it if this is the case go ahead and replace it and the drain and pluming while you have the walls open . this can get very costly but it is better to do it all at the same time than keep on working on the same bath tub .

Yes but the cost of a professional job would far outway the cost and benefits of a replacment acrylic/fiberglass tub. It sounds as if your tub is a fiberglass model. The newer acrylic/fiberglass tubs do not crack simply because the acrylic adds tremendous strength.

You can repair it, but there would be no need if there is lack of support. Menards, Home Depot or Lowes can best direct you in the right direction. They have fiberglass repair kits that may work for tubs.
