It will be more like a room addition than an enclosed patio. There will be no door separating the sunroom from the rest of the house so I need a floor that looks like something you would have in a house but is strong enough for heavy traffic and water. Would a thick tile be better than a decorative paving stone for an interior room? Is there another option besides tile and stone?

The room will be about 220sq ft and joins the house at the dining/kitchen area which has laminate light wood flooring.

My wife and I moved from the US to Ireland. Just before we came, my wife bought a water filter to use over here in Ireland. It has several bits that allows it to be attached to different sized kitchen taps. (It's the type of filter that sends water from the tap through the filter and out a separate spigot on the side.) But none of the connector bits fit into the kitchen tap we have here. I went to a plumbing supply place in Dublin and was told there was nothing that could connect the two because US and European standards for plumbing fixtures are different. Basically what I need is a doodad that screws onto my Irish kitchen type on one side and onto my US-made water filter on the other -- and forms a leakproof seal. Any suggestions?

Given the tens and possibly hundreds of thousands of birds that fly over and around my house and surrounding property, why is it I never see dead birds on the ground-ever. Do they never die of natural causes while in flight. where in fact do all the dead birds end up>>> p.s. I do understand some probably enter the food chain via foxes and feral cats, but surely not all

The problem is, I can't pick a style or theme or whatever you want to call it. My walls were supposed to be painted lime green, but I picked a lighter shade than I thought so they're like a light lime green.

I love both classic rock :) and country music, & music is HUGE to me. I live in Kansas & I love it, I guess I'm a bit of a country girl. You could say I'm a tomboy.. So absolutely NO frilly or pink princess stuff. 2 of my favorite colors are red and black, but I don't know how to put those with green walls.

Oh and just a note: I have a dog and 3 cats, so a mainly black bedspread will turn into a gray/black/white/orange bedspread within minutes of putting it on my bed. :)

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Its phenomenon. I dont know why i like to clean with no one around. I met some other people that are the same way. Could it be the satisfaction of a clean house, and enjoying it when done? Their is nothing like a moment on the couch alone after house cleaning.

The wall separates to rooms and is not on the outside of the building, my house has recently been surveyed by the people that are about to buy it and i have been told that there is a possible damp problem, can anyone please help me as to where this damp patch may have come from. The floors of the house are timber with a 3ft void beneath that, so i cant see that it can be rising damp as the floor/walls do not come into contact with the earth below. I had the cavity wall insulation installed 12 months ago and was wondering if that will have affected ventilation. If anyone can help i would be really grateful

I am looking to buy or build an indoor jungle for my daughter. The ideal item would be a hallowed out tree(synthetic) to play in.
Thanks

It comes from the gutters on my house. The sistern is bell shaped masonary construction with a steel lid. The water looks delicious.
I try to make sure no dead (feathered) animals wind up there.

After a lot of initial steps, and ending up taking-off the to toilet from the floor, I was just about to use a snake in the drain. But, my neighbour is telling me now, that it is highly unlikely that the drain is blocked, since it is much wider than the toilet hole.

He is telling that is more probable that the air supply vents, thoes going up to the roof, and the one belonging to this toilet has been blocked.

Can you give any feedback. Thanks a lot.

I've had them planted now for a week. I'm not sure how often I'm supposed to water them. I've been watering them every morning, but I'm not sure if this is good or bad. Any other basic care tips would be great. These were given to me as a gift and I don't know the first thing about gardening.

I am designing a Calopogon bed that I eventually want to expand to include Rose Pagonias and other transition/bog species. I eventually want to get three rare specimens that I can't seem to find anywhere: The Fairy Slipper (Calypso), Dragon's Mouth (Arethusa), and a Purple-fringed Orchis. Does anyone know where I could find them?
