I bought my daughter and her boyfriend a microwave couple of years ago. They are not the most careful pair and they have very little respect for anything, even if it costs a fourtune, even if they buy it themselves!! The inside has gone extremely rusty, with great dollops of peeling hanging from the roof-yuk!! I can't imagine how they can bear to eat anything cooked in there! I figure that it's the condensation that has caused this and I believe you should mop up any moisture b4 closing the door after use, but they obviously haven't done that.
I'm not finacially well off and although I would like to get them a new microwave I can't see that I can afford one with a stainless steel interior, is there a way to prevent this spoiling to another microwave?
Please don't advice me not to get them another ect ect... I've battled for years & years with my daughter over her way of thinking ect ect, now that she doesn't live with me I choose to have peace with myself and her by saying nothing.

I have recently had a problem with fruit flies in my kitchen and dining room. I think I have eliminated the original source, a green pepper that didnt make it to the garbage can, but that was 6 days ago and the problem is getting worse. I have also gone through and cleaned the kitchen top to bottom. Any advice or ideas would be helpful.

I have been using a branded make of dishwasher cleaner, stick it in and let the dishwasher run, but ive broken the bit where I put the container, anyone know any good home remedies? Something I can chuck in and run the dishwasher to clean it?

Im thinking lemon or bicarbonate maybe, but just wondered if anyone uses this or anything else. And how much to use.

My problem is that one of the rooms of the house i just bought is freezing, while hte other rooms get lots of heat. The old man that had the room before had the room completely empty , and presumbably never used it. I assume he cut off the heat to that room. Its now the girl's room and i need to know how to get the heat back on ( I dont want to pay someone to flick a switch if its that simple )

one of my plug outlets was short circuited(is that a word?) like, 10 months ago. I think that's what happened. Iwas vacuuming and my 3 year old son took a fork, and tried to pull the vacuum plug out with it. THANK GOD the fork had a plastic handle - I don't know what he was thinking. Scared the s h i t outta me! Anyways, I rent, and I still haven't told the landlord about it. I'm afraid he will try to charge me lots of money to fix it, or bring out an electrician, and I'm too broke to have to pay for anything like that right now. How much would it cost if an electrician had to fix it? Who's responsibility is it to pay for repairs? Would the electrician be able to tell how it was shorted(by a fork)? I haven't used the outlet for anything since that happened. Also, when that happened, 5 other outlets in the house stopped working properly, and the kitchen light no longer comes on. I've already reset all the breakers and such. Lamps, alarm clocks, TV's flicker and go out, if Iplugintooutle

3 years ago I bought a cactus for my patio. It was like 8" tall and 6" in diameter when I bought it. I started to grow a little taller. I thought, "Cool! It's growing." Then it grew more...and more...and more. Soon it was 3 feet tall and too big for it's pot, so I moved it to a slightly bigger pot...to appease it. It stopped growing at that point. Little did I know, but its lust for power was not sated by it's new home; It hungered for more. Oblivious, I thought, "Whew...I guess this is as big as it will get." I looked up the name online and found out that this particular type can grow up to 20 feet tall. "Crap!" Soon, after it had lulled me into a false sense of security with its inactivity, the monster again resumed it's growth. And it grew...and grew...and grew. Now it's roots are breaking through the bottom of the pot, and it's over 8 feet tall...and shows no signs of stopping!
Help! How do I stop it? Can you prune a cactus? Will chopping some off kill it?
