You've actually dyed the shirt with the tea. Tea contains tannic acid, which is enough of a mordant to allow the coloring material to soak into the cotton fibers.

You have two options: Use a commercial color remover, which will take out not only the pink color but the tea stain. You'll be left with a usable white shirt, and if you wish to then re-dye it pink you can do that after ensuring that the color remover is completely out of the fabric. Color remover is caustic and stinky, though.

If you feel you have nothing to lose, try this: Make a large, strong batch of tea, soak the shirt in it for a day or so, and then put it directly in the dryer, and dry on hot. This will have the effect of adding the same shade of brown over the top of the pink and the shirt will turn a uniform color. It is not easy to determine precisely what that color will eventually be but at least the stain will vanish into the overall color of the shirt.

Soak the shirt in Oxiclean. The hotter the water is when you mix it, the better it works. If you boil the water, & then pop the oxiclean in its great. Then wash as usually. The only thing is if the shirt hasn't already shrunk in the wash or was preshrunk, then the hot water might make it shrink a little since it is cotton. If thats the case you might want to hang it to dry to prevent setting it at that size.

If you've washed and dried the shirt, I don't think the tea stain will come out. If it was me, I'd bleach the heck out of the shirt, and if the stain comes out, I'd re-dye the shirt pink. It might work. I'm not sure.

I have a standard Eskimo as well, and he's had this problem for years. I prefer to limit medications so I just clean his eyes daily with a cotton ball dampened with lukewarm water. Aren't they the best breed?

if there are any $ stores in your area look for a product they sell called "Awesome". It comes in a spray bottle. I will most likely take the tea stain out.

You can buy a stain removing product from a supermarket, which would probably work.
