The key to a durable repair is using a flexible material that bonds to the concrete and fills the full depth of the slab.

Self-leveling polyurethane caulk, which is available in stores, is very "runny" - it runs deep into the crack.
But first, you must open up the crack using a hand-held grinder (available in rental stores) going 1/2" deep (much faster than a chisel and hammer).
This is much more durable, however, it does not assure that the full depth of the slab or the narrowest sections of the crack are sealed. Moreover, the caulk will not adhere if the crack is wet.

The most reliable method is polyurethane crack injection. Although more costly, it avoids grinding and ensures that the entire crack is filled:

Seals the full depth and length of the crack due to the forceful expansion of polyurethane foam.

Suitable for both hairline or wide (up to 1") cracks.

Adheres tenaciously to dry or wet concrete.

Does not require grinding of the concrete - better appearance.

Flexible - follows the natural movement of concrete.

Keep water out of the crack permanently.
