I have a very tall conifer ( iI believe it to be a chamaecyparis/cypress), quite attractive, lovely green colur and nice conical shape.
It is taking lots of space and light and water in the garden/it has long roots and only ivy can grow near it.
Still its probably good for birds, I don't know if it's OK to cut it down

Purchased a new KitchenAid Builtin and have it set at it's lowest setting (34 degrees). The interior shelves are fine. The door shelves are just holding at 40 degrees, but the two bottom vegetable bins are never lower than 45 degrees.

I have a combination boiler (I think) and our shower doesn't go hot - the other hot taps in our flat turn the hot water on (you can hear the boiler fire up), but the shower doesn't. It used to! And the pressure is lower than it was too. Any simple answers for a non-plumber?

I have very light brown stained (with polyurethane coating) hickory kitchen cabinets. I wanted to darken the stain a bit and was wondering if it is possible and how do I accomplish this?

Additionally, I read somewhere that hickory cabinets can't be stained so am confused completely.
