I had painters paint my bathroom, and they taped their plastic to the wood laminate on the side of my vanity. When they picked up the plastic, the laminate ripped right off.

I'm wondering if Old English Furniture polish would at least help make it not so noticeable, at least until I can figure out what to do with it.

I have had my venus fly trap for about 6 months now, but since I have had it the shoots are constantly dying once they have grown long. New shoots are constantly growing but I don't understand why they keep dying? I am following the care instructions when looking after it. At first I thought it was just the really hot weather causing the shoots to die but now winter is here it is still the same.

Further more, I have noticed tiny little bugs - about the size of a pin head - crawling all over the soil. What are these bugs? Are they meant to live amongst the soil of the venus fly trap or would it be possible that these bugs are there to destroy the plant? I notice that they crawl all over the dead shoots so I am thinking that they may be helping with the decomposing of the dead shoots.

I have white plastic electricity double sockets in my living room. I wanted to replace these with more modern looking chrome faceplates. Are these all a standard size, so that I can simply get an electrician to whip off the old plastic ones, and replace with the new chrome ones, while still using the existing backplates?
Also, given the fronts are metal, am I running too much risk that the earthing might fail at some point in the future, and should stick with the plastic?

I've cleaned and hoovered the car a million times, but it still smells like the previous owner let their dogs live in it. When it's sunny it smells is particularly bad... any tips?

Electric dryer runs fine, except it doesn't advance to the stage where it shuts itself off. I have to watch it and open the door when it's done. Any idea what I could do?

We are planning to get contractor to apply epoxy for us. However, we would like to know whether the contractor had used the correct epoxy coating. How can we test the mix? What test methods are available?

I think that my house is "missing something". Maybe Feng Shui is the answer. But I would prefer to do it myself. Can you just give me some basics, like 1,2,3,4,5. THANKS

Rather not pay for an electrician unless I know it needs doing.

I am trying to assist an elderly lady who has a UPVC front door with a glazed panel. She has become frightened at shadows coming through the glazing at night. A pull down roller blind would assist, but is it possible to fit anything to this type of door, and what if any specific type of fixing would one use to be secure?
