I think that my house is "missing something". Maybe Feng Shui is the answer. But I would prefer to do it myself. Can you just give me some basics, like 1,2,3,4,5. THANKS

basics? easiest way to learn is still to attend a seminar, that a fengshui master is offering. books are always a dead end or a puzzle, because most authentic books are written in chinese. even if you can read chinese, these are written in codes. the authors were afraid that these knowledge could fall into the wrong hands so, they wrote them in codes.

basics:
- 3 kinds of luck: heaven, man and earth
- the interactions of the 5 elements
- from yin and yang, they formed the 8 trigrams
- early heaven bagua, later heaven bagua

concepts/ formulas (some):
- 8 mansions
- flying stars
- water dragons
- 5 ghost carry money, etc

it is difficult to explain everything here, aside from the fact that fengshui is written in chinese, these characters have no english translations. that is why, american fengshui students have a difficult time assimilating the material.

fengshui is about the 360 degrees of the earth, and how do we optimize earth to increase our wealth or health. it is systematic in its own sense. it is not like science or math, it has its own system. like 7 is metal and 2 is earht, but when you put these together, they interact to form 9, which is fire. at a glance, you think that they must have add 7 and 2, but it is not addition. because 7 and 9 is also fire. and where there is fire, fire can be activated by movements or by just using a particular space. fire can also mean inflamation or heart attack. in flying stars, a person can determine the energy in the house. when there is fire in an area, we try to use that area, or trap it in a small room. or we can also use water to diminish fire. this is authentic fengshui. it is not about putting up statues or paintings, nor putting chimes, nor arranging furnitures to ease the flow of chi, nor the use of colors to enhance the chi inside the house - these are all what the westerners conjured up, because they had a hard time understanding the real thing, or they don't want others to know the real thing.

master peter leung lives in toronto, canada, and often has seminars around the world. all lectures are in english.

Feng Shui (pronounced "fung schway") has been practiced by people of Chinese descent down through the ages. The practice of Feng Shui combines ancient Chinese wisdom with traditions of the Chinese culture and provides guidelines to be used for different situations or aspirations. Feng Shui is not a religious practice - but a mystical art. I like to think of it as an "applied science" as well.

When studying Feng Shui, one learns the importance of how positioning objects in the home or business can create a harmonious atmosphere. Depending upon each individuals goals, one may focus on certain areas of their life - such as family harmony, prosperity, marital bliss, good health, etc. In Feng Shui, these are called the Eight Life Aspirations. They really all go hand in hand with each other and one should not be excluded in favor of others.

Through my studies, I have learned that one cannot have "tunnel vision" when practicing Feng Shui. One must look at the big picture - and then work your way down from that. For example, it is important not to just focus on the primary goal you are aspiring towards. It is important that you create harmony in your total household and encourage positive chi (energy) to flow. By focusing on just one area of your life you want to enhance, you can be disturbing the balance and harmony of chi. For this reason I will give hints and tips in my newsletters on creating total harmony - not just enriching your life in one area.

Learning the guidelines to Feng Shui can be very complicated. Thus the reason why successful Chinese business owners will hire a Feng Shui Master to help design the layout of a business property in order to ensure the success of their business. Feng Shui is also becoming very popular in the United States as people are seeing very rewarding results by utilizing Feng Shui techniques.

Being in the accounting field most of my life (prior to that was a teacher) I greatly enjoy the analytical side to Feng Shui. Two of my most important tools I use in my home are my compass and my Pa Kua (Bagua). I recommend that anyone interested in achieving a balance in their homes by utilizing Feng Shui techniques have these tools on hand.

the terrific fengshui tip i'm going to offer that has an significant result on your success is to alter your significant door. the main significant door is often the wood door, no longer the steel gate; or the door this is connecting the homestead to the exterior/ street. the least which you're able to do is repaint the entire door. this beats rearranging the furnitures or maybe portray your homestead a distinctive shade. changing your significant door is like freshening up your success to improve into extra well timed or contemporary. in fengshui, once you first pass into the homestead, you turn on your success at that element. and such success have specific characteristics, that's often calculated via the fenghsui recommendations. yet this success often in simple terms lasts for purely a definite era, then it expires. subsequently, that's significant replace the door, in case you prefer a brisker success. notice: do no longer try this on condition that for the duration of the previous you have a string of undesirable events. if that's the case, you're able to desire to to tilt your door at a distinctive degree. or seek for suggestion from a fengshui expert.
