The load size lever doesn't work all of the time. I tried to look on the web to see if these machines have been recalled for not working correctly. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I like the look of laminate flooring but worry that if I have it installed it will be damaged by a hidden dog puddle or a spilled drink that doesn't get taken care of right away. I like ceramic tile also but it may be too expensive for me. What is a resonably priced floor covering that will last a long long time? No carpet please.

We have a single family house in Jacksonville, Florida. We do not live there ourselves, it is rented out. Now we have to decide whether or not to invest in a sprinkler system for the yard/lawn. It is a pretty costly thing. How necessary is it? Is it worth it? Can one do without it (tenants watering the lawn etc.)?

My contractor installed the windows before the roof was complete and now we are up for 24 hours of rain. My pella windows are pine clad and I am concerned that rain will stain the wood and will show up during staining and sealing process. What can I do to make sure this does not happen? Should I contact Pella to make sure that my butt is covered? We have 35 windows, all are wood clad interior/metal clad exterior. I have taken pictures all along the way and so everything is and will be documented in pictures. Here is a link to the pictures that will show the kind and type of pella windows we have installed. http://www.studio57designs.com/gallery/index.php Any help would be appreciated. I dont want have to go thru the process of replacing windows, nor will I accept stained window frames. Thanks for any helpful solutions.

There is a pungent aroma in the bedroom since we revamped the room where we laid the laminate. And wonder if the new flooring could be the cause of the smell. No one can use this room due to the odour.

We have eliminated any possible causes, from paint to furniture and none of these appear to be the culprit

Could it be coming from the loft space even though there is no smell there. We did have to loft insulated about a year ago. It is an old granite house with what appears to be a sound Scottish slate roof (we have it checked out regularly)

Apart from resorting to calling out the environmental, we are at a loss as to the cause of this smell which has a chemical edge to it.

I would appreciate any ideas or comments as I have family coming to stay very shortly and shall be short of one bedroom if we don't resolve this problem. Thanking you in anticipation!

I have a wreath that I want to hang on my front door but can't because it is metal and can't put a nail in it. Some places make special ribbons with hooks at the end to attach it to the inside of the door. Does anyone know where I can buy one?
