Does anyone like the newer version of Trading Spaces. Since this season started later, somewhere this month, they changed it up. No more $2000 Bonus room or three rooms, just one. No three days with one day to prep and shop-back to two days. Instead of the couples meeting the designers in their house, it's the designers who go to their house. Instead of two carpenters, it's back to one. What's your opinion on this?

I live in Nevada. In my laundry room I see a hole in the wall with red, blue water valves, a drain for the hose and a small white pipe with visible water flows down only on certain nights making a lot of noise around 2AM for about 10 minutes. It appears to be draining from above but the water appears clean.

It looks like standard equipment. Does anyone have any idea what my house is doing?

I want a purple themed Christmas tree this year. I need purple lights. If it's a 100 bulb strand it has to cost under $6 with cheap shipping. I'm also looking for cheap purple ornaments. I already found some great purple garland at a dollar store. This is my first Christmas tree of my very own.

Merry Christmas

I'm going to the woods today to collect pine cones. I'd like to put them in a basket next to our fireplace. I've heard though that lots of insects nest in them. Is there any sure treatment as how to get rid of those unwanted house guests? Don't want hundreds of spiders crawling around in my living room. YIKES!

Everyone seems to have cream or chocolate coloured suites at the moment. I want to paint my room, but wonder whether anyone has used a different colour,or done something different with paint that they think looks really stunning. Or any ideas about how you have decorated your lounge please.

They said it was $2000 for labor and $2000 for materials. When you quote a price, labor is total...not per man...right? Then he started lying about who made the price and blamed a third associate. In today's paper, this same man was convicted (front page local paper) of fraud in mortgages.

So (1) Is labor total and not by the man?
(2) Is he milking me for money because he's such a fraud?
(3) He owed them $10,000...is that when the price went up?
(4) What do you think?

One of my dogs got sprayed when she went out earlier, when she came in we bathed her and poured several cans on tomato sauce (that was recommended) on her one at a time and rinsed her good. She smells much better but I can't get the smell out of my house. Any idea of what I can do. Opening the house (cold as it is) hasn't helped and the smell is very strong.
Please serious answers only.

I have a hanging plant that is an ivy. I have always done the same thing...let it dry out and then saturate it (per the internet) I have done nothing different but now the leaves are crispy. None of them are falling off...the soil is still moist....I don't think I need a bigger pot. Does anyone have any suggestions?
