When I wash my dish towels, they come clean but as soon as they get wet again they smell. That smell even gets on the dishes and my hands, so that after using a few times, I have to get new ones to avoid this. Is there anything that makes them not smell?

Got a really cool black patent leather coat at the goodwill. Looks like someone formerly had put a duct tape design on the coat. The adhesive remains behind. Don't want to ruin the coat, but would like to avoid the dry cleaner

My partner bought me a dozen beautiful roses for my anniversary. They have been sitting in a vase at my desk for 3 days (I used the flower-food sachet that the florist gave me) I am going to take them home with me today though and was wondering if anyone knew how I could keep them alive for as long as possible?

After thinking problem of motor not working was fixed with new fuse, it's down again. I had to kill the power because of this awful loud noise coming from the motor every 5 minutes for about five seconds. Actually brushed me back. Relay clicks but no running motor. When I called a repair man over and turned power on a few days later it worked again. Now this morning same probelm. Help someone please. What could be wrong, this is making me insane

We have mice living in our chimney. Im so disgusted and freaked out that i have moved out until it is sorted. My boyfriend has caught one in a trap (set with pnut butter or choc)but we have seen more that just aint biting. We are going to try the glue that makes them stick to cardboard if they run on it and we have a pest control man coming out tomorrow - has anyone any more suggestions? I dont care if its inhumane - i dont care about micelife.

The cats are at my in-laws, so I can paint without harming them! Does anyone know how long I need to wait until I can SAFELY bring them home? I do not want them to inhale paint fumes and get sick!

Furthermore, even if i press start again it never finishes the cycle. It appears to get stuck in the 'washing' cycle and not being able to complete the chosen program. I didn't buy the washing machine, it was in the house I bought earlier this year so I don't have any further information I'm afraid. I am in the UK, and more specifically London.

The cupboard is around 4ft x 4ft. I'm not sure if the freezer would need a bigger space for more air circulation. Thanks in advance for any help.

my boyfriend's friend is a glzier and has taken the job of fitting our cat flap into our patio doors as would do it cheaper for us. however its now been over 3 weeks and it still not done and the price has risen from apprx £100 - £110 to £170 apparently its because the glass is thicker than usual and they have had to call in specialists, im just wondering if it would of been just as expensive if we'd called in professionals but could of had it done 2 weeks ago! can anyone help??

It backs onto a sheltered footpath and kids seem to take pleasure in smashing holes in the panels as they walk by. Not to mention the traditional grafitti which has also appeared on the pieces that are left! Killing or maiming them is not an option but any other ideas would be welcome. Repairing the fence is becoming expensive and just seems to encourage them. Every fence in the lane is suffering so it's becoming a big problem. The kids laugh and run away when challenged by anyone. The police can't do anything unless the kids are caught in the act of damaging property. All I want to do is build a fence and protect it from damage. Maybe I should make it iron railings with barbed wire???? :-(
