At the end of each day, I have 6 or 7 Sixteen ounce plastic bottles that I have used for drinking water throughout the day.

I want to clean the bacteria out of these bottles, refill them with purified water, Cool them in the refrigerator overnight and use for drinking water the next day.

Best way to clean out bacteria and germs ????

a weak bleach /water solution, wash with warm water, make sure you dry them up side down to get all the moisture out, bacteria love warm humid places to grow.

Bleach and water. Just rinse them out and let them dry.

I would rather use a dishwasher since i do not like the residual smell of bleach on solid objects. In laundry I like it, but when I am holding something to my face I do not want to smell bleach.

Heat or UV light works to disinfect things! You could always boil the bottles in water periodically, they used to do that with baby bottles to sterilize them.

I do the same thing-since I am the only one who drank out of them, I just rinse them with hot water. But I suppose you could try a dishwaser if you have one.
