My downstairs bathroom floor is made up of interlocking pieces of wood and has become saturated with the uncontrolled firehoses of three boys in the house (me included :) )
We had our kitchen floor done by a pro this summer and I asked him to save a piece that is large enough to put down in the bathroom. I am going to take out the toilet and the sink, rip out all of the hardwood links and baseboard this morning. I see that the floor pieces are glued down and do I need know the steps to take putting down the new vinyl and any tips aor tricks that anyone would be kind enough to share...

Hi,
I'd like to know if it is possible to lay reclaimed floorboards directly onto a newly laid concrete sub-floor, or are there any issues with doing this (ie is it a stupid idea !!). What would be the best adhesive to use ?

My last glasstop stove never scratched. I guess this one is poorer quality. Any suggestions on getting rid or hiding the scratches?

We have 2 Dahlia shrubs approx 4 ft high that have still got loads of buds on.
Not sure of the name of this flower, they are bright red.
Quite new to gardening and need to know how to treat them over winter.
Thanks.

After a few weeks of purchasing the toilet brush is always discoloured. Is there a particular cleaner you can use? Does bleach work? How do you best administer it?

I have been living in UK over one year, and have yet to find a single family that rinse their dishes after soaping them. To me it's common sense. But I don't know how to convince them that it's necessary and hygienic. Does anyone know of any written evidence on the Internet stating that rinsing dishes is a necessary step to washing dishes?

This table looks similar to an antique buffet or vanity without a mirror and no chair.

I am remodeling my master bath. The maintenance and non-maintenance horror stories are enough to make me shy away from anything other than a plain old tub. BUT it'll be a higher end bathroom and I think a normal tub will look cheap when I go to eventually resell.
