Depends on the price, 500 and 600 are high thread count, would be both comfortable. Try going to Overstock.com. I bought 660's for $60.00, they're yummy to sleep on.

As has been said above, please note that the Sheet Set, Egyptian Cotton, 600 Thread Count in Bedding are better than Sheet Set, Egyptian Cotton, 600 Thread Count in Bedding, if price is not a factor for you.

The higher the thread count the better quality of the fabric. Also, higher price. Egyptian cotton is very high quality.

I say 500. The cost difference between 500 and 600 isn't enough to justify the minimal difference in feel. Besides - you'll be asleep most of the time anyway.

The higher the better so definatly 600. It means that it will feel better and it makes the feel softer and sort of silky.
