I just ran a bath as have to go to bed and forgot about it and its an inch from the top and bloody boiling and I mean boiling hot. I can't run any cold water as there's no room and I cant get my hand into the bath to pull the plug as the chains broke and its too hot. I don't want to wait till it cools down as it'll take forever and I need to wash. Whats a girl to do?

We found our screens with holes in them and thought a mouse had come in. Then we put out sticky traps which the mouse actually took off with! Then we tried poison and it died in our kitchen. BUT! There is MORE of them! We dont even know how many more! We live on the 2nd floor of a 3 story apt. building and all our manager is doing is putting traps which is NOT working! WHAT CAN I DO???? My roommate is alergic to cats and I cannot sleep at night because the mice are running around eating the crotches of our underwear! Ive replaced 4 pairs and my roommate replaced 6 pairs of underwear! HELLLP!

I want to paint my kitchen tiles but cannot find paint described as "tile paint" in the right colour ( a red that is not terracota). What exactly is the type of paint used on tiles (i.e. steam-proof, water-proof etc) so I can find other ways of looking. Thanks v much (UK based).

We live in a 5,000 square foot house in Chicago, 3 floors up and an English Basement. We had a ventless fireplace installed and run it about 14 hours straight in the winter and just keep our zoned heating (forced air) off. Is it cheaper/more efficient to use the ventless or am I spending MORE money running the ventless non-stop? Being that the ventless is 100% efficient, or close to it, it can easily heat the upper three floors comfortably.

So, am I spending more using the ventless? I'm trying to save $$ with gas being so high these days. Thank you to everyone in advance.

We need to add a bathroom to our house (we never really had one in the first place, the real one is in the basement of our house which is kinda gross). It seems our house as 2 load bearing walls. In kind of a T shaped. We would like to cut in to the top of the T (load bearing wall) to add a bathroom to the main floor of our house. Anyone know if this is possible. We only have a shower and toilet right now for a bathroom, we have the tub and sink sittin gin our living room. I would reallllllllly like to have a bath soon :)

My husband is dead set on getting a 4-grade tile (because he swears that anything less will have to be replaced for wear in 15 years).

It's my understanding that 5 is the highest grade - commercial grade, for use in things like retail venues with a lot of foot traffic.

So, with a family of 4, likely a dog in the future, a kitchen table and chairs being moved around - how long will a 3-grade tile last? My favorite tile is a 3-grade. He's willing to forgo the "look" for the grade.

Anyone with experience in this area, your input is welcomed. Thank you.

I have a Potterton (Powermax) 155x combi boiler. We currently have heating, and get about ten seconds of hot water under the shower before it disappears.

We have had an engineer out and he fixed an initial problem where the boiler was continually locking out. For this he needed to replace the PCB. He also replaced two other parts - the water level valve? and another valve.

Now however we still have the hot water issue. Any ideas?

Also, if someone could tell me exactly what the switches on the 155x do that would be great - there is a "Store" 0/I switch and another switch with a little radiator symbol. Considering I tend to run the boiler on timed operation, where should these be set?

Any help greatly appreciated, three weeks of cold showers this is not fun!

I have checked on eBay and many different office and file cabinet sites including office depot, staples, and the like, but I cannot seem to find burgundy and other richer colors in file cabinets without paying like $500 -900 just for one to be painted. Thanks if anyone knows.

Everytime I get a bubble soap, the soap doesn't last that long. Maybe the longest is like 20 minutes, after that the bubbles starts dissolving. I'm tired of buying soap that doesnt even last long. I wish I knew what T.V. use as far as their bubble soap. Can you help me out?

I love aromatherapy smell.
