Most likely is a clogged drain hose, Another possiblity is a bad pump. Third possibility is the control timer.

If you hear the pump running but nothing comes out then take off the drain hose and try to run water or a stiff wire through it to clear it.

If you do not hear the sound of the pump running during the part of the cycle where it should be draining then the pump or the timer is defective. If the rest of the cycle is good then the pump is more likely. Those are expensive parts to replace.

If it is over 15 years old it has died of old age and it would be cheaper to replace it than repair it.

Does the drain line go into the garbage disposal usually there is a knock-out tab you remove before installing the drain into the garbage disposal so it won't leak if you don't have a dishwasher..
