I have been living in UK over one year, and have yet to find a single family that rinse their dishes after soaping them. To me it's common sense. But I don't know how to convince them that it's necessary and hygienic. Does anyone know of any written evidence on the Internet stating that rinsing dishes is a necessary step to washing dishes?

Different soaps have different chemicals. You need to look up the MSDS for these soaps (Material Data Safety Sheet.) In most cases, the chemicals in these soaps is caustic at best and can cause gastrointestinal irritation. Dawn detergent, for example, includes Sodium Alkyl Sulfate, Sodlum Alkyl Ethoxylate Sulfate, and Alkyl Dimethyl Amide Oxide. First Aid (alone) includes "Ingesting 1-2 glasses of water" and "Rinse Thoroughly from skin."

I don't know about "written" evidence but. The soap is an agent that floats the dirt away so, it has to be a fact that if it's an agent floating the dirt away then it has the dirt in it, doesn't it? It doesn't take a school child to understand that, does it?
