What has worked for me on my daughters’ jeans is wetting the grass stains with water, then rubbing the spot with a generous amount of Zote laundry soap (it comes as a bar). Rinse the stain and rub in some more Zote. Pour some 20-Mule Team Borax laundry booster powder on the stain, rub it in to make a paste and let it soak in for a few hours or overnight. Wash with regular detergent. If the stains don’t come out, repeat the process. Very important - Do NOT dry in the dryer until after the stains come out!

I have also done "modified" versions of the following that work just as well. The following tips came from http://www.mrscleannw.com/tips/grass-stain-removal.html

Homemade Grass Stain Removal Remedies: Pre-treat the grass stain with warm water and white distilled vinegar (not apple cider vinegar) or water and rubbing alcohol. You can then rub the mixture directly into the stain and then wash it as you normally would. This mixture is known to get out the stain. Another option is to take some ammonia and mix it with one teaspoon of vinegar, pour on stain, rub in and wash as normal. All of these methods work great at removing grass stains.

Digestive Enzymes - You can obtain digestive enzymes (like acidophilus) from your health food store and then take a capsule and break it open or take 1 teaspoon of the powder and mix it with water until you make a fine powder. Then spread the paste on the grass stain and let it set on the stain for about an hour or so and then wash the item as you normally would. This should get rid of the stain once and for all.

Grass stains on jeans -- Saturate the stained area with alcohol and let soak at least 30 minutes before laundering. White non gel toothpaste can also be use to remove grass stains from jeans.
Grass: Pour on rubbing alcohol and work into the stain using your thumbs. Again, make sure the stain is completely removed before putting the item in the laundry.

I also like to use Zout stain removal spray and Biz detergent.

I've tried all kinds of cleaners and for really ground in grass stains none of them ever worked completely. But what does seem to work, for me anyway, is just to pour a little laundry soap on the stain, rub it in really good, and then use a brush or even your nails to scrub out the stain as much as you can and then throw it in the wash. Sounds silly, but it always works for me, lol.
