There is a very large, very dead oak tree about two feet from my property line. This lot is vacant and overgrown. With every wind more limbs and very large branches fall into my yard. I can move these daily but with Florida hurricanes I concerned this tree will land on my roof?

I'm afraid to have it removed because it is not on my property. If I call the County do you think they will contact the owner or will they have it removed and bill the owner. I certainly don't want to incur this expense myself.

I've been using regular diswashing soap and it seems to work okay but I just am still cautious about using a brillo pad on the materials.

I am decorating my home Victorian. I want to have a couple of sayings embroideried on fabric surrounded by roses. Then I want to have them matted and framed. How ever, I am having a problem wording a search to find someone that does this. I have called the local numbers in my phone book for the people that do machine embroidery but they only do monograming and sportswear.
Thanks for andy help,
Pat

We are having heavy rains, and I have been hearing a lot of people loosing their trees around or even ON their homes because of the amount of rain coming down. Is their any one who knows the signs of what to look for before a tree is going to fall? I would not be happy seeing these 50 ft trees in my back yard on my home this year.

Each hinge consists of two lengths (aprox 8" each) of 3/4" wide strips of 1/8" thick mild steel. The two strips are placed together and holes are drilled through both ends. One of these ends is loosely bolted together such that the two strips are free to rotate around this centre point.
The free end of one of these strips is bolted to a point on the side of the lid while the other end is bolted to the side of the frame such that when the lid is upright the hinge resembles the hypotenuse of a triangle, with the lid as the vertical, and the frame as the horizontal. The hinge is completed by a piece of metal welded at the lower edge at the centre point to provide stability when the lid is raised to the maximum. Has this hinge a name? and is it available? I to thank those who have responded already.

Wilbour

Our neighbor's oak tree has a light green (similar to the "sea foam green" color popular in the early 90's) film growing on the branches near where they exit the trunk. It almost appears that the bark itself is turning this color but it is too high to see for me to be certain. I am concerned that this may be a symptom of disease. The most pressing concern is that if this tree ends up falling towards our house and not hers, it will fall on my shed and my kitchen! The other concern is that I have small oaks growing in my front yard that came from squirrels planting acorns that came from this tree. I want to transplant these to our backyard since it has few trees. If the "parent" tree is diseased, will the "offspring" trees be diseased as well? Sorry for the multiple questions in one. Please point me to answers! Thank you!

On my watch, the '2' came loose and is bouncing all around the inside of my watch face. I see that there are little holes where the '2' was connected to the watch. Is there a way to remove the glass cover to get inside my watch face and just stick the '2' back in the holes? I really don't want to have to pay a jeweler to do it.
