I've been using regular diswashing soap and it seems to work okay but I just am still cautious about using a brillo pad on the materials.

I've used S.O.S. pads rubbing very lightly and rinsing really well and have never encountered a scratched pot problem.

No on the brillo pad! Believe it or not, you will make small scratches on the surface that will never come out and make your cookware have dull spots on it. Use regular dishwashing soap. To make it shine, buy a special cleaner for stainless steel.

Use Baking Soda (like Arm & Hammers or generic brand) and apply with a wet sponge. Sort of make a paste with warm water & baking soda. It works great to remove grease. Rinse well.

The name of the game is the detergent and not the brushes. When it is heavily soiled use EZ Off. To get rid of the rainbows use lemon juice to restore the shine.

I've tried everything and finally found"ZUD" and a scuffy pad. Not all supermarkets carry it but I did see it at Home Depot. It also does some job on copper bottoms.
