I want to build a wall outdoors to provide as much noise reduction as possible between our house and the house next door. Is it possible to build such a fence or structure without incredibly large expense? What materials would be required? What alternatives are there?

THey've gone all blacky yellowish slowly over the years from lots of use. I could throw them out and buy fresh ones but that seems like a waste - so, hellooooooooooo out there - come save my saucepans from going to the saucepan maker!

I was sweeping out under the sofa, and then cleaning out under the cushions, and I found these little wormy type things, anyone know what these are? I've found these before, at my old house, usually in the carpet. They are 1cm or shorter, look kinda like worms. Sometimes I would find what looked like a shell, like as if they shed their skin. Does anyone know what these are, what they can do to your health, how to get rid of them? I found at least 50 in one part of my sofa tonight.
I have no pets, but used to have a dog and cat. The sofa is probably 15 years old.

I've gotten contradicting information from various sources, all of which I feel are trustworthy. One source says it's crucial, especially in the ancient house I live in (built 1912) and considering my son's allergy to cats (there were cats in our house for years recently). Another source says it simply works up dormant toxic substances into the air of the rest of the house. Does anyone out there know much about the process, how to be selective about who to trust to hire or is it a waste of money?

I purchased a down filled king size quilt for my daughter for Christmas. Now I can't seem a store that sells any kind of protection cover for them. I know you use to beable to purchase zipper bags of all designs to put them. It has to be dry cleaned so was looking for something to help protect it and add more color and style .

I have seen some really cool glass balls hanging in people's trees in my neighborhood. They look especially nice after the leaves have fallen, but they are NOT xmas ornaments...they are for all year round. They are decorative large glass balls. I cannot find them anywhere on the net...only xmas ornaments. Any idea where they can be bought? Can always ask a neighbor I guess...
