check the level of water and see if the tank fills to the proper level, and make sure the airstack is no blocked, or the sewage pipe is not blocked either, most of the time you need to flush twice because there is an obstruction in the toilet itself or in the drain pipe, you may have to put acleaning snake thru there to clean it up. it may also be because it was not installed properly and the wax ring is partially bloking the drain pipe.

It has to do with the HOLE in the bottom of the toilet bowl.. A person should get a larger one and I did not know that.... I have to flush my toilets twice(most of the time) and I just do not want to change them out for a larger hole so I am going to just live with them

if tank is full see if there is a small foam rubber float on chain,if so slide it to very bottom of chain and re-secure with plastic clip(above and below)this is for newer tolets.if tank is full and no float there is either something in there or if you can see the lines underneath make sure it doesn't have a sag or dip in it,this will cause toilet not to flush right.

I'm sorry to have to tell you this, but all you have to do is hold the lever for two or three seconds. These new toilets flush small amounts for number one..... You have to hold it open for number two. Doing this unloads the whole tank.
Happy flushing.

Get a bigger tank. Go to Quebec and get one that sits up on the ceiling and when they pull the chain all that water comes down and REALLY flushes the toilet.

Call a plummer. You probably have something blocking the drain. Try a plunger first. You dont have to have a clog to use one.

adjust the ball cock to where it will hold more water there should be an adjustment screw to let it go higher before cutting off the flow of water. its usually at the top end of it.
