what type of saw or blade to cut iron plumbing?

Are you cutting castiron or steel pipe ?
There is a tungston blade for cutting castiron that fits sawsalls and simular. otherwise a bimetal metal blade should work fine.

A metal cutting blade. They have them for recipro, circle ,jig and hack saws.

its best to use a Hack Saw they are real inexpensive
