I purchased a down filled king size quilt for my daughter for Christmas. Now I can't seem a store that sells any kind of protection cover for them. I know you use to beable to purchase zipper bags of all designs to put them. It has to be dry cleaned so was looking for something to help protect it and add more color and style .

I found duvet covers on
www.overstock.com
on ebay and at Target.
I ended up winning one on ebay. I love it. Mine was an oversized comforter so I had some searching to do. I guarantee you will find one on these websites. Good luck!

Duvet covers are still out there. Try doing a search on online stores Sears, Walmart etc. Not sure if you are in the USA or Canada??You could make one yourself by buying a set of flat sheets and sewing them together. Just make sure you add ties to the inside bottom of the duvet and the bottom of the quilt. You can just make button holes and button the top shut if you don't want to put in a zipper. Don't sew try iron on sewing tape and velcro Good luck

It sounds like you are looking for a duvet (comforter cover). I bought one from Dillard's several years ago, and I have seen them at Wal-mart and Sears recently. The price is going to depend on the brand name more than likely. I got mine on sale, around $25, but it was originally over $50. You should be able to find a "generic" name for around $20, maybe less.

My favorite place to get bedding and bath stuff is West Point Stevens. It's basically an outlet store. We go and buy Ralph Lauren pillows (really comfy!) for $5-7 each depending on how good a sale they have going that day. You can shop them online at www.bedandbathstore.com (has a store locator) or www.westpointstevens.com (redirects to Martex).

If you know someone who sews you can take 2 flat sheets, cut to size and add extra long zipper or velcro or a row of snaps to close .
