I would be very surprised if the warranty was for a period longer than one year. Chances are good that you will have no problems. Always read the fine print. Sometimes manufacturers will sell discontinued items at a deep discount and sell them without the warranty. Most of the time, the warranty is still good even if the item is being discontinued. Even if the manufacturer fails to honor the warranty, Amazon is well known for taking merchandise back without much hassle.

The warranty should begin from the date of purchase, so yes it should be valid unless they state otherwise at the time of purchase.
