One of my dogs got sprayed when she went out earlier, when she came in we bathed her and poured several cans on tomato sauce (that was recommended) on her one at a time and rinsed her good. She smells much better but I can't get the smell out of my house. Any idea of what I can do. Opening the house (cold as it is) hasn't helped and the smell is very strong.
Please serious answers only.

The vinegar answers are good but you should get a package of sponges, mix a solution of 50/50 water & vinegar and soak the sponges in it for an hour. Set out where required on small sheets of plastic or small plates. As they dry the sponge helps to absorb the odour. You can repeat this process by reusing the sponges if required.

Put alot of small bowls of vinegar out all over the house. Also use vinegar to clean floors. Vinegar takes the smell out of nearly everything!! Get some cinnamon sticks and put them in a pan with water and boil them. Make sure you don`t burn the pan dry...

Try using Frabreeze. Especially where your dog lays the most. She will still smell slightly when she gets wet. Mostly time will help dissipate the smell of skunk.
