Yes, it can if you are not careful. Never, mix it with ammonia. It can give off a toxic gas if you do so. Don't try inhaling the fumes from bleach. I believe that bleach is partly composed of chlorine and chlorine gas can be lethal if too much is breathed in. The bleach solution should give off very little chlorine gas that if used properly shouldn't affect you. However, just like glue if you try to inhale it, it could hurt you. If you start to feel dizzy or sick, leave the room and go to a better ventilated room or outside if you have to. Bleach if diluted in low enough amounts won't hurt you if you ingest it. Just like the chlorine you pour in your pool won't hurt you if it is mixed properly into the pool. In fact, some bleach bottles used to have instructions on the back of them showing how it could be used to treat kiddie pool water to prevent bacteria from growing in the water.

Yes, a friend of mine, well two friends of mine were sent to the hospital. They both had severe lung infections and bronchial swelling. One nearly died because of an allergic reaction to the antibiotic they gave her. Most people do not realize just how dangerous bleach is. Many people die every year from poisons such as this. It really should not be sold so easily. I used to use it to clean my home of germs and in my laundry. I don't anymore. I went to all natural cleaners 3 yrs. ago. I have notice a vast improvement in my health. Just breathing the fumes is enough to make you or anyone else VERY ill. I would recommend switching to all naturals cleaners if at all possible.

Yes, definitely. It's a strong toxic chemical which can be dangerous if used improperly or ingested. You should be very careful to always follow the label directions, including the "Cautions". Never, ever, ever mix it with Ammonia.

Yes, it's toxic if it's inhaled. That's why most bathroom cleaners that contain bleach or toxins say to "use in a well ventilated area."
