You will be miserable. I was born and raised in the country and recently I have got engaged and moved in with my boyfriend in town. I have pasture leased 10 miles away from me where my horses are and I miss having them on my place. I do have my 2 dogs in a fenced in back yard. We are looking to buy a place in the country. Good luck i hope everything works out for you.

You don't have to live without pets. You can get smaller animals. Guinea pigs (also known as cavies) are a good pet for a small backyard. I know it's a huge difference between your old pets, but it's a good start.

They are inexpensive to buy and are come in many different breeds.

Checkout the site below.

Good luck.

P.S. They are more affectionate than fish. Ha Ha ;oD

~~~I would say it will be nice and very peacefull,,,,no dogs barking,,,as for birds,,,as long as there out side Im sure you will still here them chirping (I dont believe in birds being kept in cages)
you can still make a small back yard inviteing,,,make a little sitting area,,,create an area for a little barbq,,,,,,always remember,,you can always go back and visit,,,,
Its great, there is no work to do tending to the pets, no doggy doo doo or pee smells to worrry about, no torn up and urinated furniture.
