I asked a question yesterday about the calk smelling like urine and someone responded that there shouldn't of been calk around the toilet anyway because if the toilet leaks it's better for it to go on the floor so that I can see the leak. Please only answer if you know for sure because I am going to tackle this job myself tomorrow. Thanks!!

What's the deal with thread count for sheets? I heard that the higher the count the better the sheets. But is there a big difference between say, 500 and 800?

This is so gross. I don't even like talking about it but I need your help folks. I was bad and left my sink full of dirty dishes for um... let's just say it was a long time. Let's just say paper plates and cups may have been involved. Um.. anyway, now that I've cleaned up, there's this smell not unlike a toffee candle or maple syrup that greets me when I come in from outside. I'm wondering if it's the heater (which I've started to use again as it's getting cold now in So Cal), or possibly a gross cockroach infestation. Has anyone had experience with this? I know what to do (clean like mad), but is that maple syrup smell the smell of cockroaches? Bleh, please pardon me, I hope none of you were eating. Bleah.

What can I use to sharpen a real small and very very dull pocketknife?

I was thinking of a sharpening stone, but any other cheap or better product I can use or any good ordinary item that a person would have in their home to sharpen it.
