My house needs new gutters. I am broke so I plan to put them up myself. The company that will be rolling them for me will miter corners for $30(?) each. Is this necessary? Or can I just buy corner pieces and caulk them to the corners?

I compounded/mudded my joints in my bathroom, the mud was dry, sanded it and smoothed it down and followed all the steps. However, when I went to prime the walls a small portion of the mud started peeling off. What caused this? Should I be concerned that other parts will do this? How can I fix this so it won't peel again?

I have really big posters in my room. it's hard keeping them up with enough glu tack. And sometimes the glu tack peels off and the entire poster falls over the wall, causing creases and other marks ont he posters.

So does one just keep on using big blobs of glu tack or is there another way to keep big posters up?

In really heavy rain, my sump will run every 1-3 minutes. It will take days and days to slow to once every 20-30 minutes. Even after a week it may only slow to once every 40-50 minutes. I have verified that the water is running out to the street. We have a little dry well and the water is running into it. I've asked my neighbors and their pumps don't seem to be running as often; however, I'm about 1.5 feet lower than them, because I purchased an extra block. My grading is fine. It just doesn't seem possible that I have this much ground water.

So, is my water table really that high? Is there a simple way to check this?

Or are there things that I haven't checked? If so, what and how can I check it?

Thanks ahead of time!!!!

I have acquired an older model hut tub with a Len gordon control box. I was told it will work on either 110v or 220v. I can not get it to function at all on 220 without tripping the 20 amp reset button on the side of the box. I have searched on-line for a wiring diagram to see if there is a different wiring configuration that may help. I have not been able to find anything. Does anyone out there have any suggestions? The numbers on the box are: HL-2H and 6425425-1. I'm not sure if these numbers will be helpful. It uses a 1 HP 2 speed motor.

I have two ixora plants several years old. They put out nice foliage, but unlike my neighbor's ixora plants, they never bloom. I fertilize them but without success. I've found out they are acid loving. Maybe adding acid will help, but they've grown up in the shadow of a pine tree with all the needles, which I imagine provide acid. What to do?

I had half a cord of fire wood delivered Sunday night. "Seasoned oak". $115. The wood is not "seasoned". I tried to get it to burn for 1 hour. No luck. Does anyone know if I will be able to burn it this year? How long will it take to "dry out"? I'm going back to the shopping center on Saturday to see if I can find the guy. Ticked me off real good!!!!

I don't want to take it into a shop again, it costs too much. If anybody can give me a web site or explain how to do it I would greatly appriciate it.

There were 2 in a little pot, one was a bright green, the other was a darkish sickly color, and when I touched it, it sunk in. So I tried to remove it and the skin came off, the prickly coat just slipped right off, leaving the tube inside. It won't affected the other one will it?

What caused it to get sick anyway?
