Ask for a microwave for Christmas. May need to ask everyone to club together, but at least you wouldn't have to pay for it yourself.

Unfortunately, covering rust in a microwave is very dangerous. It is not like a car.
You cook food in them which could become contaminated.
Microwaves are not safe to use if rusty, they could explode. I should take up using other methods of cooking until you can afford another one.
Safety is very important here, a rusty microwave is a dangerous piece of kitchen equipment. For the sake of your family and yourself do not use it. Get a new one asap, they can be as cheap as 29 pounds in the likes of Argos or Asda.

If you have rust you must have bare metal which will make the microwave spark or arc! this is just a stop gap till you can get a new one. rub down the rust and paint three or four layers of heat resistive paint or ceramic paint make sure you don't use metallic paint, should be good for a couple of month
