I compounded/mudded my joints in my bathroom, the mud was dry, sanded it and smoothed it down and followed all the steps. However, when I went to prime the walls a small portion of the mud started peeling off. What caused this? Should I be concerned that other parts will do this? How can I fix this so it won't peel again?

it was probably a dust situation at that spot or it was a thicker spot that was not dry and wetting it with the primer loosened its grip.Continue to prime and any location that it reoccurs simply mud those spots as needed.
