My shower/bath has a wood framed window and I try to keep moisture off of it at all times with a plastic curtain, but mildew still builds up on it. I don't want to warp or break down its natural oils and fibers. What would be the best way to clean it?

I would try straight white vinegar on it and naturally dry the ledge and try your best to keep it dry. Maybe you could put a small face washer or towel on the window ledge whilst you are showering to help ease the mould build up. Good luck.
