My remote control for my garage does not work anymore.It is from Hechinger, which is not in my city anymore.It is 1/4 hp remote, will I be able to buy a replacement remote for the garage door?

You should be able to buy a universal remote for garage doors. They sale them at hardware stores and I know that Walmart sales them. I had to get one too when my opener quit working.

I would be willing to bet that your opener is a Chamberlin Brand. You can get them from anyone in your area that sells Chamberlin, Liftmaster or Sears. Chamberlin makes the openers for all the above. Look at your opener hanging from your ceiling in the garage and get the brand that matches and it will be alot easier to program

Home Depot, Lowes, Menards, Walmart....all see universal remotes.

yes,they come as a small seperate unit that you attach to your opener !! only problem is the one i got has very little range,otherwise works fine..
