My furnace will not turn on I have a fairly new furnace that is about 8 years old, it has an automatic pilot light. I have changed the fuse and nothing, I even checked the breaker in the box and it is not tripped. I turned on my a.c. and it did not go on either, what do you think is going on?? could it be my thermostat?? help..

i would check to see if you have 24 volts to the thermostat first... if not then go to the furnace to see if you have 24 volts coming out of the transformer.... if you do make sure you have 120 volts going into the transformer..... if not check the door safety switch... if i have totally lost you in my terminology call a professional...

I would check out all the breakers and fuses first. Then work you way to the thermostat. That would be my guess. Was it changed at the same time as the furnace or, is it the old one?

If your not sure what your doing I would pay to have a repairman from your local furnace company, preferably the ones that installed the furnace, check it out.
