The splanch style home is real and is suburbia's rebel. From its rather eccentric layout to its utterly preposterous name, it's the house that refuses to play by traditional architectural rules. It isn't a split, and it isn't a ranch, though its name borrows from both. What it is is a three-story house in a two-story skin -- a Rube Goldberg structure with a central staircase from which basement, first floor, stand-alone living room and a raft of upstairs bedrooms unfurl.
Do a general search for Splanch Style Homes and you can get pictures of these that will better show the exterior structure and some floor plans.

It is a typo. It is supposed to read Ranch style house. Every room on the same floor. There is a true ranch (already mentioned) and a Raised Ranch ( it has a basement)

I continuously enjoyed the admired properties yet on account that I surely have ended up renting an somewhat previous abode, a miners cottage, I now love the previous form. I surely have the vast complete verandah on the front, the wooden fence and appropriate rose gardens. Its been renovated interior and that i think so at abode, i could extremely desire to stay right here perpetually! It replaced into geared up interior the Forties. the unhappy element is my landlord is demolishing the abode to construct 3 new townhouses on the positioning, so i visit ought to flow from right here later interior the 12 months.

A Spanish style house usually has red tile roof, arches, block walk ways. I have seen them with both two story and one story.
