I recommend a pure white ceiling and antique white walls for a small bedroom. The white ceiling will help with opening up the room and improve lighting. The antique white walls will give the room brightness without looking stark or steril. Antique white is white with a very slight tan. Semi-gloss for easy cleaning and a nice sheen. If the walls and ceilings are poorly finished, use flat, as it will help to hide the defects. Plan on two coats. I would discourage the use of any strong colors, because people grow weary of them, as opposed to something neutral.

It's an interesting concept to paint each room seamlessly in different colors. For kids bedrooms, I'd suggest something in a bright color like, blue (for boys) and maybe a fuschia or pink (for girls); when they get older, they can choose and paint their own room.

For adults, the bedroom should be a more vibrant, mature color. Plenty to choose from any paint shop. A classy, but bright color can enhance the living room, espicially one that welcomes sunlight. And the kitchen/dining room needs a "comfortable" color, again--check the color samples.

I would say light color to make the room larger, I would use 2 shades myself, Pick out 1 medium shade of paint then I would choice 2 shades up from that as my base an I would paint 3 walls with it. Then the next shade I would go up 2 from there an on your focal wall I would paint checks or diamonds (BIG).

light colors are going to open up the space.

A light buttery yellow woif you have a shabby chic or country thing going on.

Alomst any tint of color mixed in with white would still be good for a small room.
